Purchasing Assistant

 

SALARY: £26,000 per annum (based on skills and experience).

LOCATION: Ely, Cambridgeshire (CB6)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Fixed term contract (Maternity Cover)

WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

JOB OVERVIEW

As we continue to deliver high standards across our operations, we’re looking for a Purchasing Assistant to provide essential support during a maternity cover period.

This is a key role within our office team, ensuring materials and services are sourced efficiently, responsibly, and in line with our commitment to excellence. If you’re organised, reliable, and thrive in a collaborative environment, this could be a perfect fit for you.

Working as Purchasing Assistant you will work closely with the Purchasing Manager ensuring stock is at an optimum level as well as working with external stakeholders to review products for use within our Production department.

As Purchasing Assistant, you will need to be confident at chasing and updating purchase orders and ensure that you work accurately when collecting data for internal processing. Administration experience is essential for this role to ensure correct information is processed on our internal system and for review by our directors.
